If you cut off tiny (quarter inch) corners, that should help them avoid fraying. Two of the corners will be on the selvedge edge, so you won't lose any fabric on that side and the other two corners will be from the folded centre of the fabric, but there will be such a little bit of wastage, I don't think you would notice it.
