You are allowed to buy and sell used issues or portions of issues. You are not, however, allowed to photocopy part of a magazine to sell or give away. It's the making and sharing of a copy that is a violation. Being out of print doesn't matter. If believing in following copyright law makes me a member of the quilt police, I will wear my badge proudly. :)

Good luck with your search.
I thought since F&P no longer offer it for sale it is ok to get a copy. I see copies of magazine patterns for sale on ebay all the time, and many are from issues still available. They are the actual pages cut from the magazine and put into a page protector and usually sell for about $2 each plus postage. And as I said, many are still available in current magazine issues. I have seen and purchased them from multiple sellers on ebay, so it must be allowed. Anyway, I want it for personal use, not to make anything to resell. And I am sure there are no copyright issues with buying or selling a used magazine. If so the quilt police are gonna come knock on my door! LOL
