It helps to make your binding as you finish the quilt top, then half the job is done and you don't "accidentally" use the binding fabric for another project. Store all your completed bindings together, or somewhere you can find them. You can also save those leftover few inches of binding when you finish the quilt. Roll them up and put them in a clear glass jar. Makes a nice decorative item for your sewing space, and reminds you of all the quilts you have finally and completely FINISHED! (Don't forget a label, which is my least favorite part.)
