I get the fabric bolts from the fabric stores that are empty. I then cut them up in the size that fits my shelves and put my fabrics on them. They're free, so it's green, and saves me a lot of money. The fabric also looks nice, and I know what I have. The fat quarters I fold and stack on the shelf.
