went on the central coast one 2 years ago Hwy 1 and 101 in California, could see the ocean most of the way, only eleven shops from Carpenteria to MORRO Bay and two were inland a bit into wine country :) it was delightful but sad now that some of these shops are closed.
The Southern California Quilt Run is 40+/- shops and is from LANCASTER to the border and in the mountains and down to the ocean (and Palm Springs) it is like an endurance trial. but with two cars one for wives and one for husbands playing golf and good hotel reservations it can be a wild two weekends in a row.
