How pretty! It's a Singer 15-91 clone - made in Japan - it's a great machine. Knee control is easier for me - I think I have more control - it is less tiring - maybe the nerves closest to my brain (ahem) work faster than the ones farther away... Try the knee control before you go changing it out. Check and see if the wires are in good shape before you do much. It looks like it is in good cosmetic condition. A bit of oil on the moving parts and you should be good to go.
