I have been a member here for about a year. Been quilting for, oh dear, 35 yrs.! Yes, I have just dated myself. as I was on the other side of 30 when I began. I am mostly self taught, with a few classes thrown in on special techniques. I now do all my sewing by machine, including using a long arm Nolting, to complete my quilts. I usually get someone to hand sew the binding in exchange for a quilting job! Once the arthritis sets in, hand sewing becomes a problem!
Live half the year in northen MN, and the other half in southern AZ. Yup, year round summer!
