I have a fool proof method. Take the fresh eggs and place them in a paper towel, put the eggs in a pan, add cold water, and 1 teaspoon of vinegar to the water. When the water starts to boil, reduce the heat until the eggs are simmering. Put the timer on for exactly 12 minutes. Your eggs will be done, with no green ring around the yolk. I forgot to add, that you put ice cubes in the water right away to stop the boiling. When the eggs are cooled enough, you can peel them. Perfect every time.
