I gotta say, this one is by far my favorite! I think I'll have to make another one just like it so I'll have one to share.

I tried the other method on this one (ironing the seam allowances & folding twice instead of sewing and turning the blocks)and this is what I've learned: I could have sewn dozens of blocks in the time it took me to do all that ironing! And it may have been the fabric, but I had a really hard time getting nice points. So it's back to sewing the blocks for me.

Secondly, to avoid raw edges on the inner windows (the solid black) I tried turning the seam allowances, but it was too bulky. So I ironed on some interfacing and trimmed them down. That worked much better.

Third: a busy fabric hides lots of wobbles and extra stitches! :thumbup:

I think I need a break from CWs for a while, so I'm going to go do some of those things I've been neglecting, like cooking, cleaning, yard work... yeah, right! I still have fabric left! :mrgreen:
