Getting my annual shot tomorrow. The only problem I ever had was the year of the vaccine shortage and I didn't get mine until close November. I had flu a few days later--flu was already active in the area and I was infected either before the shot or before it could fully immunize my system. That's a good reason to get yours ASAP--resistance is not immediate.
