I made some of these also and my family loves them. We heat our food and then put the bowl in the fabric bowls. It is great for eating ice-cream also. Hands don't get cold. I cut two 12" blocks and quilted them, folded each in half, from center fold I scooted over 1" and measured the bowl which was 31/2" from the top and made a dart. Same on the other end. Put them together like a pillow, turned and topstitched all around. I made one and quilted only one block and it did not turn out as well.so use batting on both blocks.
