What are they waiting for a certain Dr. maybe? I was surprised to hear that when you have hypertension it is considered heart disease. It's good she's in the hospital because if she has a problem she's right there. I used to work for a team of cardioloists and they usually did a stress test and if needed a cath. You know she could just be very anxious about the pacer and it's making her SOB. Try to talk positively to her amd get her spirits up it may help her. It's very upsetting when a person has a heart attack and she may be scared I know I would be. Nerves can do a lot to you and waiting around isn't helping her but they may be waiting to see how a med is working on her. It must also be so hard for you not being able to be there.
