A rose by any other name would smell as sweet....I dont think anyone means it to be insulting. Certainly a knitted or crocheted "covering" is as valuable as a quilt...as it a fleece blanket made with love and given. Just my opinion.
As someone who lovingly, not to mention, time consumingly, made huge and sometimes very complicated crochet afghans for my family...I am just waiting for someone to say they are NOT as valuable or the same as a quilt, lol. Sooooo....who plans to open that can of worms?
