Here are some pictures of my latest work. The blocks are paper pieced from a Carol Doak pattern with SID around the elements. The large blank sections have free-hand quilting and LOTS of feathers. Each free-hand block has a different design. The borders are mitered in the corners with formal feather quilting. The inner borders and pillow flap are the only parts of the quilt without feathers :D

Black is a difficult color to photograph, so please bear with me on the variety of pictures available.

Batting is Hobbs Poly-down, thread is poly-core wine color. This project took approx. 40 hours to quilt. Still needs binding, but the hard part is behind me!
