Thanks for your thoughts. That was the intent (something different in each area). It's supposed to be triangles (on the left) merging to diamonds (the part you couldn't rest on - I'll have to work on that), then blocks (with the light tops) then hexagons and finally stars. Kind of inspired by Escher's drawings, like this one
