When I was growing up my mom always bought Northern Spies late in the fall because they are "keepers" and a few pounds of Bishop Pippins for eating apples at Christmas time. So... how many of these have you heard of? Macs? blah LOL But the Honey Crisp and Royal Galas (both grown elsewhere first) are nice eating apples.
