I think it would have been easier., instead of twisting my body in different directions trying to cut it out with the rotary cutter. Here's a hint ....
When rotary cutting around a square ..... I like to be at the end of a table. That way I can cut from 3 sides without moving the plastic square.
I would stick with the rotary cutter ... far more accurate and a HUGE time saver over pencil and then scissors.
