I have owned lots of brands of sm. Loved some, not others. The absolutely best bang for your buck is the Juki's. I have the 98 which is a straight stitch, and the F-600 has all the bells and whistles. I can't say enough about these machines. Strong, strong motors. I can actually start sewing at the edge of the fabric and it does not pound it down the hole and make a knot. It does it all for lots less than the big names. I sold my Quest plus after I bought my f-600. Didn't think that would happen. I sew quilted fabric for purses and in the straps you have lots of fabric when you count front, back & batting is one side. Make a seam and it gets thick, make a strap and it is 12 layers. This is the only machine that will sew the seam and hold it together. My big names would do a pitiful job.
F-600 is $1,000 or a little more.
