Emery boards don't seem to last around my house and I can't for the life of me figure out why. just disappear. I use a chopstick, sharpened in my pencil sharpener, as a stiletto.
If you have a cat that might be why they disappear ! My cat can hear me using one on my nails when she is in another room and comes running ..literally....and trys to take it away from me. Of course I let her have it and she plays with it on the floor using her two front paws to hold it while she twists and turns trying to rub her cheeks on it.
