It certainly makes sense! They tell you to use fine grain sandpaper to hold fabrics for specific things, like some cutting. An emery board would be just like fine grain sandpaper, just more user friendly for that kind or work. I'm going to dig out my stash of emery boards and put them in my quilting supplies.
