My vote is for the 301.
I have both, featherweight & 301. By far the 301 is my favorite. It is light weight, very portable, sounds & sew wonderful. I like the slant needle - it will sew anything - using the right needle.
The 301 & the featherweight do use the same bobbin & case, but not the same feet.
