The final pieced BORDER would look better with a sash at the very edge.......then bind with same color as that final sash....this will do two things.....with the pieced edges the chance of wavy borders is very likely, not to mention possible unstitching(unless you carefully baste that edge).......and that final solid sash will keep the eye within the quilt, like a frame on a pic.....
