Maureen -
don't worry - or be nervous & give it a try... you will find it very addictive and will have to contain yourself to keep from moving on ahead of the rest of it. As you read through the pages of this thread, I'm sure you found many who have forged on. The best site for help [besides us!!!] is the
http://thatquilt.blogspot.com site
In fact here...
http://thatquilt.blogspot.com/2009/01/6.html you will see she claims that block A-6 [the first one I scheduled] takes a mere 10minutes! Once you get your fabrics figured out, it may even be an overestimate. For me the most time consuming part is to decide which fabrics to use!!
A couple of members had great ideas - SheriR has all similar colors in one container and she moves it to a 'used' container after she has used it in a block. Also check out Spartanquilter's design wall on post #135 of this thread. She has decided which main fabric she wants for each position and takes it off her board when she is ready to do that block!!
Do think a little before you start sewing....
if you look at a few of my posts earlier today you will find out that I appliqued block B-1 instead of reverse applique. I actually clipped away the background from behind the circles, removed the 'yo-yo thread' I used to pull the circle around a template, and flipped it around to the back so it looks like a reverse applique [do NOT try this at home!!!! hehe] The problem is my off white threads show because although they were nicely tucked under, when the circle was flipped under the background, the stitches stayed on top
This is not meant to discourage - even with the re-do it didn't take long!!
