I am quilting the block, batting and a very light weight fabric, not sure what it is, but it is cotton. I am doing this, because I back all my quilts with fleece and do NOT want to try to quilt through that and I did want to add the look of hand quilting to the blocks. Once I add my fleece, I will just do stitch in the ditch or a decorative stitch in the sashing, getting a block pattern on the fleece. I will have to play with that idea when the time comes, if I even remember it that far down the line. LOL
