Actually, if you are changing colors to add ummpf, I'd use the lighter pink, and find a green to blend the other green with. Then alternate the pinks and greens.
Otherwise, I like the original plan. It will depend on what you are going to do in the center. Are there going to be and applique's, embroidery, fancy motifs of quilting? Any of these will add to the finished look of the quilt and need to be considered.
