I think the blocks are lovely and that you made a great decision. I'm another one who sometimes deliberately floats points. A point which misses a seam,either slightly or alot, looks fine, whereas one which gets cut off by being sewn into a seam doesn't look as nice to me. The quilt is going to be gorgeous, well loved, and keeping him warm. Just what a quilt should do. Great job!
