Well Spartan... I wouldn't worry too much about having a wonky or crocked piece here and there. When you consider that in her Right Bottom Corner kite Jane Stickle embroidered she used 5602 pieces [ahem...ouch!!] we could make 56 booboos and it would only cover 1% of the whole quilt
That won't be noticeable to anyone [unless of course you were to place a bright chartreuse piece in the middle of that subdued postbellum Civ War quilt!]
