I always take my machine to Casey's in Beloit, WI. She is really good. Cost is ax $55-60. w/2-3 day turnaround. I have bought 2 machines from her in the past, plus she has repaired my two old Singers (66 treadle and 301a) She sells Janome machines but can fix any machine you bring her. She is very helpful and is very good about service and assistance. If you are close, give her a try. You will not be dissapointed. I have no affiliation with this shop.
