I get an email about home and garden from iVillage, and today they have a slideshow of backsplash ideas. http://www.ivillage.com/backsplashes/7-b-353525#353525 The one that looks fantastic to me is something I would never have thought of. They hung a framed piece of glass behind the stove. You could get any picture frame that fits, or maybe you already have one. I'm thinking you could put any picture you like in it, or a solid color of paper or fancy wallpaper - whatever - and you can change it easily whenever you feel like it. It's a nifty solution and would work even for people who are renting and can't make permanent changes to the wall.
