I just had a cortizone shot yesterday and it is not helping much this time...last time I had immediate relief but only for 3 weeks...I am scheduling my surgery soon. Have had one done 5 years ago and nursed this one as long as I can...I can not hardly go to the store any more.
I take 600 prescription ibuprophen 2 times at most 3 times a day...that helps the most. I have had several injections of different things...one was very expensive chicken shot called Synvisc...helps some - didn't help me. I have recently been fitted with an upload knee brace...ug...not much fun, but it does help a little. Physical therapy can help.
I got heartburn from the ibuprophen and then was taken off for about 6-7 month...could not get around very well, gained weight, but worst than that...got very flabby and now I am miserable...staying fit, thin, and keeping your core strengthened will help a lot....learning the hard way...
