For my 401A I was fortunate enough to have a high shank snap on adapter that came from my broken Babylock. It snaps onto all of the feet from the Babylock (1/4"). For my 185J and vintage Kenmore 158.14300 I ordered a low shank snap on adapter which also can use all of the feet from the Babylock. Sure saved a lot of money. So, what I am saying is that if you find the feet you like somewhere online that use a high shank 1/4" snap on adapter, you will have solved your problem. I ordered my low shank snap on adapter from Expert Sewing Center, Inc. online. It only cost me $3.99. If this doesn't make sense, just let me know. I understand what you're saying but I don't have an adapter like in your collection.
Meaning -I will have to check out the Singer store for this little gadget in order to modify the feet I'd like to use on the Singer Slant.
Thanks for the information too, I'll just check with the Singer store here in town to see if they carry different feet for this particular machine.
