Jan--yes, the fabric I used is an orange/rust color. Your blocks look great. I especially like the butterfly...it is very similar to a fabric I will be buying in the next week or two from a line called "shimmer" (

DDamsel--I like your fabrics too...paisleys are another weakness of mine in the fabric dept. LOL I am not crazy about snakes either. I was curious what kinds of snake patterns there were and found two different things you might to check out:
