Hi Lara! Ginger is beautiful.
I have two 301 shortbeds. They are both mocha. I sew on one of them all the time. I cleaned the one up (obvisously, I have not named them) and oiled it thoroughly and oil does not fling all around. I also used Tri-Flow grease on the gears. It was my first experience of ever taking the fly wheel off completely and greasing gears. I'm hooked now.
