After a 1/2 box of color catchers and 4 washings, I ended up with red fabric that wouldl be perfect for older traditional patterns where a bright red wouldn't work. Since I plan on making an Underground Railroad quilt
someday, these will be perfect. I only lost a couple of the red/white pieces. I finally got tired and threw it all in the dryer.
I would suggest to anyone planning on using the red/white combo in a quilt to read, read, read, the pros and cons of Retayne and Synthralpol before starting your project.
