what I REALLY wanted, rather than the shelves I posted earlier, was shelving from industrial pipes and reclaimed wood. But because I live in a vintage house with plaster/lathe walls, I can't easily mount heavy things to the wall. Then I priced out making the same thing freestanding, and to get pretty black heavy metal components drove the price waaay up.
