just recently drove thru several states where we saw the cotton fields being harvested. So similar to how corn here in Illinois is done........saw both round and loaf bales.......just hard to imagine this being done by hand several generations ago........and then the picking out of the seeds....wow, it is amazing what the human creative mind is capable of doing..........
I too, wonder why we no longer make fabric out of that cotton....instead we send it to some third world country......labor is cheaper, I guess.....
