If you are using quilted fabric, just do one rectangle of quilted fabric, the one that folds and becomes the outside. This will eliminate bulk. I am currently making one with the one layer of quilted fabric for a friend to protect her cell phone screen. The bag is wonderful out of upholstery fabrics also. As quilters we have so many scraps to use up.
