My UPS guys know me and tend to hide the packages behind bushes If I am gone. He also waits until I wade through the dogs to answer the door. Depends on how pressed for time.
My USPS guys puts them and a dog biscuit on the porch if I am gone or waits until I open the door to be greeted by my gang of monsters!
I am in a small town in CT and am lucky enough to have people who care and watch out for others. As I am alone for long periods of time when my DH travels, it is comforting to know someone will notice if there is a problem.
