Jan, I have had more packages go missing from my mailbox since I moved to the country than I ever had go missing in the city! Especially when the package has a microchip in it for a computer or cell phone! and every time the carrier has it marked as delivered and nothing can be done about the fact it never reached me. I try to have everything sent to my rural post office to be picked up there. And yes, my closest neighbors are cows and horses. It doesn't seem to matter who delivers the package, chances are electronics will be stolen.
We are down a bit over a quarter mile lane & our lovely mail lady brings any packages down to us, even if they are small enough to fit in the box at the end of the lane. If no one is home except me she will even bring the larger packages inside for me. I do a lot of online shopping due to poor health & the UPS & FedEx people are also very good about setting the packages inside for me. I appreciate the care & concern they exhibit.
