I finally finished my very first quilt. I started it last May for my 23 year old son who lost everything in a house fire last March. It is completely hand-sewn. I wanted to do something special, but had no idea how time-consuming it would turn out...so have done other things in-between. I really don't think I would have finished it if it weren't for this site and all you wonderful quilters!
I have had all the flaws pointed out by my aunt yesterday afternoon.
She was so critical I almost decided not to continue quilting, but after thinking about it and opening my SS package I thought about her situation and her health has deteriorated over the past few years so much that she can't do the things she used to, such as quilting. Maybe she will feel differently if I make her something, maybe for mother's day.
