For many years after we were married, we had no traditions of our own. Our holidays were spent running from one side of the family to the other, really not spending much time with either due to travel time. Now, we have our Christmas celebrations whenever the kids can all get here at the same time - it isn't often on Christmas day, but usually before New Years day. We have the same menu, everyone opens gifts, and enjoys most of a day in one another's company, realizing how blessed we are to be able to do that.
