You're not behind wolf we all just started too! Maryt no rules, do what you want, scrappy or organized scrappy. I usually do mine in strips, then cut and sew back together. Do at least 1 every year of fabric I had left from the quilts I made. Never done 1 in squares before so here I am. Just threw them all in a bag, shook it all up and just grabbed and sewed.
