Thanks! I thought the raw edge would be better for me because I really didn't think I'd do a very good job of turning all those curves under, or doing them consistently. What I do like about the applique stitch is that it seemed to "fit" the flavor of a teddy bear..

I use the term "wabi sabi folk" for what I do. (Wabi Sabi is, as I understand it, Japanese for, basically, the art of not being perfect.)
My neighbor Judy said something similar...she said the Indians always purposely put in some imperfections because only God (Great Spirit) is perfect. I told her that made me feel a lot better...
