The chain stitch is the reason I got one but the funny thing is I needed vintage looking decorative stitches for some baby gifts I was working on. It was the only machine in my herd at that time that had what I wanted. It sewed like a dream, quiet and smooth. I can't remember which one it is off the top of my head. It is a 600 series and a very pale blue.
