Default Old to sewing, new to quilting

Thank you for the wonderful board! I've been lurking for a few days and have learned so much about batting, piecing techniques, threads, hand quilting, the works.

I've been sewing for 30 years or so, quilting only occasionally for the last few. My few quilts have been art/pictorial with a combo of simple piecework and applique. Mostly machine quilted, very simply, on my home sewing machines. But I had so much fun -- unexpectedly! -- doing the piecework on the last one that I want to do more of it, and I want to try more hand-quilting.

I have a couple Singer 301A's, a Singer 6268, a Pfaff 1540, another 30-year-old Singer in a box somewhere, and a couple sergers. I mostly use the 301A and the Pfaff.

I know I'll keep learning here, and I'm really enjoying the pictures of everyone's projects.
