Here are some pics of a quilt that I finished yesterday using the "Traditions" collection by Howard Marcus from Moda. I used a layer cake and cut it into charm size squares. I came up with the pattern myself, and the finished size is 56" x 76". For quilting, I just did stitch-in-the-ditch since it seemed to fit the "traditional" look of the quilt. When I showed the end result to my wife, she said that she thought her father would like to have that for Christmas, so my father-in-law will be getting this under his Christmas tree. :)

While I was taking pictures of the quilt, Stella the Quilt Inspector decided to come over and check it out and see if it met her stringent standards. Here she is sizing up the front of it:

I was on pins and needles waiting to hear her verdict. Is it good enough? Will I pass? After a few minutes, she came back out from the backside and announced that this one has passed inspection. Her word for "o.k." is "meow". :D
