Try your local quilt shops and google "quilting fabric" -- Hancocks of Paducah (not to be confused with Hancock Fabrics) has a large selection of fabric. I've been in there shop, and it's a candy store for quilters. The only problem with shopping on line is that colors don't come across true. If you have an Iphone there's a free app from Quilters Club of America that will list shops in the area you are in whether you are at home or traveling. I too prefer traditional quilting rather than the modern that is so popular now. My favorite fabric is Moda. It seems to have the style I prefer. I have to tell you that "old timey fabrics" are hard to find today. I've been looking for a soft pink floral, but everything has a modern look with bright pinks. Happy hunting. Remember the first part of quilting fun is the shopping.
