Default New to Quilting Board

Hello,

I'm Karen, a mother and grandmother (and soon to be again in August!) in central Ohio. Technically I've been quilting for about 25 years. I taught myself to sew and quilt when I was first married and my husband sold cars, which meant he was often gone nights and weekends. Buying my first Singer machine at Joanne's kept me busy and out of trouble - ha!

Quilting has been an on again, off again hobby for me, but I love fabric and looking at books and magazines and seeing what you can create from it. My dream would be to get serious about quilting and perhaps sell some, but I don't think my technique is there yet. Plus, I have no desire to make big bed quilts, but rather smaller, wallhanging size quilts. Here's the last one I did, a convergence quilt from Ricky Tims' book:

Not sure how well you can see it, but it's about 24" x 24".

Happy to have found this community of fellow quilters and am looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on.
