I too read Jennifer Chiaverini's book Mrs Lincoln's Dressmaker. I found it a fascinating look back at our history. I have not read much historical fiction, so I can't compare it to other books. Life in Washington City in the 1860's, a black businesswoman, former slave, confidant to Mrs Lincoln, the difference in the classes. Excellent writing.

Always fun to catch a glimpse of a quilt in a movie!
