I have been quilting for 17 years and my fabric takes up one half of a built in wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. I also have a plastic container for every unfinished project, there are 12 of those lol
I started collecting fabric that I liked if I saw it. Then I started buying things like jelly rolls and layer cakes. Now I see I have not used a lot of those. I have recently started to buy fabric when I am about to start a new project after I have gathered some suitable fabric from my cupboard. But I never seem to have just the right colour for the project I'm working on so there is always a trip to the shop at some point lol.
